![]() ![]() Though I have 2 classes on Blending in Procreate on Etsy, I have decided to make a tutorial with written instructions as not everyone might not be able to purchase the video tutorials. ![]() I'd personally like to eventually lean into a bit more of a short film approach to your standard arts and craft video, right now I'm still finding my way though. This is probably the one question I get asked pretty much everyday on Instagram. I think the best thing to focus on would be any kind of storytelling within the video you can come up with. I'm one to talk as I'm just barely starting to play around with the youtube creator thing, but a lot of art content seems pretty stagnant. ![]() However if you have a fan base or eventually build one up, there will certainly be some interest in seeing your personal process. ![]() Speaking only for myself, I'm not gonna watch a newcomers tutorial when there's legit industry veterans offering free advice across the board. Tutorials are hard to break into doing right now, unless you're pro in house somewhere or already got several years of pro work under your belt then idk if it'd be worth it. So if you're skilled enough they can be great for quick video content. The benefit is they're much easier to edit and you typically shouldn't be zooming way into the canvas for a quick speed paint anyways. It can be saved in post but then that requires tons of editing made more difficult by the high speed, especially if it was a 40hr painting you're speeding up for youtube.Ī good speed painting is hard to pull off unless you're really experienced, most speed paintings aren't very appealing because not everyone can whip up an amazing image in under an hour or 2. A time lapse video with constant rotating and zooming is very dizzying and unappealing. ![]()
